Creating Chaos

The bible of the left, Rules for Radicals, encourages liberals to never let a crisis go to waste.  Use every crisis to further political advantage.  They are very good at that, the recent shooting in Arizona being the latest example of their dedication to Rohm Emanuel’s dictum.  Consequently, rather than giving the country the time to mourn tragedy, they immediately try to use it to advance their political agenda.
They attacked Sarah Palin showing the pictures of the map which marked with crosshairs the elections critical for the Tea Parties to support.  They failed, however, to show the map democrats produced for, I think, the 2008 election which also targeted important contests with crosshairs.. They took aim at her “lock and load” metaphor suggesting it was incendiary language like that that incited violence, forgetting to mention that President Obama used much the same imagery: “"If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” and “We talk to these folks, so we know whose ass to kick.”  It was a democratic candidate who said he “wished people on the right would feel what it’s like to be shot,” and a liberal congresswoman who said, “It’s time to get out the pitchforks,” and Obama’s good friend and President of SEIU who said, we’ll fight them at the ballot box and if that doesn’t work we’ll get out the guns.
Google threats against G. W. Bush and you will find, not thousands, but millions of pictures that incite violence, Bush in the crosshairs, Bush with a bullet hole in his head,  Bush, his head severed from his body, blood gushing out from his neck.  NBC ran a story illustrated by a picture of Bush with crosshairs on his nose. A play ran on Broadway idolizing the idea of his execution
And Palin’s bull’s eye was not so much on Gifford, it was Arizona’s Grejalva that the Tea Parties were intent on replacing.   Gifford is a blue-dog democrat, admired by the right for her moderate stand on economic issues, her strong support of gun rights, and for her tough stand on border security and immigration.
So enough of the vitriol, but let’s take a look at who the shooter was, certainly not a Palin admirer or a Fox News addict.    His favorite books were The Communist Manifesto and Mein Kompf. He is anti-Constitution, anti-flag, and anti-religion.  Every time some maniac attempts an act of violence, the media drools and pants, hoping they can blame conservatives, making accusations they hope will stick.  Most of these terrorists have no political affiliation; they are simply insane; however, if they do have a political affiliation it’s almost always on the radical left with the exception of the Unabomber, and The Oklahoma City Bomber.
We can start with the obvious and Bill Ayers using violence for political change.  His SDS is still radical, storming the CATO institute in July of 2008. James Jay Lee, who took hostages at Discovery Channel, was a radical environmentalist. Joe Stack flew his plane into the IRS building, ranting and raving, quoting the Communist Manifesto. A liberal bit the finger off a man who disagreed with him on healthcare.  Amy Bishop, an Obama supporter, murdered her coworkers.  Liberals destroyed AM radio towers outside Seattle and burned down Hummer dealerships.  An SEIU union thug beat up a black conservative who was selling American Flags at a Tea Party meeting. And it was the NAACP who said he deserved it because he wasn’t Black enough. When the G20 meets, it’s the radical left that causes chaos.
Let’s be frank.  The left would like to see the country inflamed in class warfare. Saul Alinsky  has taught them well that they need chaos to give them the excuse to bring down the hammer: better protection, fewer liberties, more government

Who is pulling the strings? Republicans Capitulating after a landslide.

I am disillusioned.  Perhaps I have been on a crusade that’s going nowhere.  We worked diligently this past election to help turn the map of our country red, but recent news is taking the wind out of my sails.
First Professor Jonathan Gruber admits that he relied on “the stupidity of the American voter” to get the ACA passed.  The news only served to substantiate what I already knew, that progressives throw the corn into the pit hoping to turn us into servile lapdogs.
But then I heard McConnell and Boehner already capitulating the morning after the election.  The conservative sweep should have shown them that Americas want to reassert their independence. They no longer want to feed at the public trough. They want to honor the 10th amendment, turn most of those monstrous buildings in DC into homeless shelters.
The lackluster response of the Republican leadership leads me to think that Alex Jones’ rants might not be so farfetched after all.  They’ve all sold out to the Bilderberg Group.  I’m reading The Creature from Jekyll Island again, this time with eyes wide open.
Perhaps the “illuminati” story is more real..  Perhaps we are all managed by a small group of elite families who control the world leaders through blackmail, bribery and ruthless tyranny. That would explain John Roberts’ sudden reversal.
That would explain would explain why they waited until night to announce the findings of the grand jury in Ferguson.  They want race riots. That would explain why, with the war virtually won, they abandon Iraq to the radicals. They need terrorism.  It provides them with all kinds of excuses to limit our civil rights.  We know we were sold out to the big banks after the crash, sold out to big insurance companies with ACA.  Was Bush responsible for 9/11?  Oh my, I’m going insane.
I do agree, however, with Phyllis Schlafly.  A third party alternative serves the progressives. Republicans at least pretend to believe in the limits of the constitution.  Our only hope is to concentrate all of our energies on bringing the Republican Party back to its conservative roots.
I may be disillusioned, but I’m not capitulating, but how do you take on the movers and the shakers.  One is George Soros and he alone funds some 200 organizations that parrot his cause.  See http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/viewSubCategory.asp?id=1237

Net Neutrality

Yes, “Access to content online shouldn't be limited by providers,” (Yuma Sun, November 13, 2014.) However, a much more deadly idea would be to allow the government to limit access on line.
Laws like Net Neutrality are always promoted as an attempt to protect the consumer from the greedy grasp of business, but they invariably end up protecting big business from little guys with better ideas that threaten BB’s bottom line.
Beware of every “for your own good” lecture from the powerful both on the left and on the right.  It invariably is “for their own good.”  The recent health care legislation is just one more example.
The Affordable Care Act was championed by BG as a bill serving the people, but instead of serving the people, the President strengthened the big government-big business collusion.  Everyone is required to buy health insurance, great for insurance companies. And if insurance companies don’t make a profit, don’t worry.  They’ll be subsidized. The job of corporation commissions across the country is to make sure utility monopolies have a healthy bottom line. Big corporations are exempt, congress is exempt, the unions are exempt.
Laws that pretend to protect the little guy actually protect the powerful, but not only monetarily.  They threaten other freedoms as well.
Cass Sunstein is a case in point. He served as Obama’s chief of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. He wrote a book called It’s for your own good.  He champions government as the great protector of the stupid masses.  He’s afraid we’ll all end up “in the ditch.”  To that end he says that the government needs to employ teams of covert agents, “pseudo- independent advocates,” to infiltrate online groups, websites and activist groups.  Conspiracy theories about the government should all be discredited, “even though some of these conspiracy theories will be right.”
Perhaps we have elected a new breed of politicians, but don’t count on it.  Remember power corrupts.  It’s one of the most deadly lessons of history.  It is absolutely essential that Americans renew that 1776 attitude that this is a government of the people, by the people, for the people.
My prayer is that every citizen adopt Mike Shelton’s attitude toward politics: “Election Day, mid-terms and Presidential, is my favorite time of year! It’s my Halloween, Christmas, and New Years rolled into one! I love the debates, the political commentary, the lies and the truths. Can't get enough of it! Be sure to vote!
I would add, keep in touch with your representatives.  Keep on top of the issues.  Don’t let the bustards still your voice.

In January the ACA Excrement Hits the Fan

I hope Darrel Keath  is correct, that ACA will save us $716 billion: “Obama care is working especially for seniors,” Yuma Sun October 3, 2014.  I am afraid, however, that when the employer mandate kicks in on January 1, the excrement will hit the fan.  The consequences of Government’s colluding with business are invariably ugly.  The insurance companies are grinning ear to ear, but the working man is in for a rude awakening.  I hope I am wrong.
Mr. Keath’s crediting Obama with having cut the deficit in half, however, is grossly misleading.  Bush deficits were grotesque, but they pale when compared to Obama’s.  Bush’s highest deficit was $458 trillion.  During his first four years in office, Obama’s deficits were all well over $1 trillion a year, more than twice as high as Bush’s.  Last year he did cut his deficit in half, to $648 billion, but it’s still $2 billion than Bush highest.
I recognize that most of the $1.40 trillion 2009 budget can be chalked up to Bush’s credit; but Obama did pass a $787 billion stimulus package in February of that year.
We who live in the “tea party bubble” are not at all worried about how ACA will affect us, but we are gravely concerned about the debt we are leaving our grandchildren.

In Response to http://www.yumasun.com/opinion/ideas-should-be-argued-on-merit/article_54f31338-fcfd-11e3-a9dd-001a4bcf6878.html

I will not apologize, Colby Girard, for my reverence for the founding fathers. They were a group of extraordinary thinkers and remarkably brilliant men.  They steeped themselves in the wisdom of the ages, could read Latin, Greek and French.  Along with The Bible and The Qu'ran, their writings reflect knowledge of Homer, Virgil, Marcus Aurelius, Cicero, Shakespeare, Thomas Aquinas and Rene Descartes; and they profited from studying thinkers of their time like John Milton and John Locke and Francis Bacon.
Today we steep ourselves in The Housewives of any and every metropolis and the sexual exploits of the Kardashians. Probably 99 per cent of us have not read our own constitution. And what their scholarly pursuits taught them was that the gathering of all the wisdom of the ages does not change one important thing, the ills of the human heart.    Men may be “noble is reason, infinite in faculty… like an Angel…the paragon of animals,” but he is yet the  “quintessence of dust.”
Colby is, of course, correct.  The founders did recognize the need for a federal government stronger than what the Articles of Confederation allowed, but none of them, not one, wanted a “strong central government.”  They recognized the lust, pride, and greed in their own hearts and knew that a government had to be carefully restricted, bound in chains, or it would naturally violate our God given rights.  They may be gone, but their world is very much alive.  We are still governed by dangerous passions.
Now tell me Mr. Girard, what in my dissertation leads you to consider me “backward?”   Which of my sentences are evidence of my “foaming at the mouth?”  Which illustrate my tendency to “vain empty argument?” Am I the “ babbling skunk trying to smell like a rose?”

I agree with you.  We should discuss our ideas on their merits or lack thereof, and our arguments should reflect that, though we may disagree, we have profound respect for one another.

Oh, my Papa, he always understood.

\

My Papa

We laughed at the garbage you collected in your back yard,
But you were the master of the ultimate Aesthetic, the One True Art:
How to de-junk the interior terrain, getting rid of the garage that clutters up the heart.
You taught us there was nothing we couldn't do, to always say, “I can.”
But you taught us, too, deal with defeat,
That the number of mistakes he makes is the True Measure of a Man.
Then you taught us how to stand up again, to try once more, to stay
“Get back on the horse and ride.
“What da Sam Hill’s the matter wit’cha anyway!”
You showed us how to live our lives with dignity and pride
But the greatest lesson was the laughter we shared
On the very day you died.

You were always firm in your beliefs:  “My mind’s made up.”
But you were always ready to add another page, to take another look.
“Write it in the book, Ma.  Write it in the book.”
You knew the road that Cain had walked, the sorrow, the despair.
It made your heart a refuge for those worn and ragged with life’s care.
You demonstrated what living in Christ really means
By living in Christ, unconditionally accepting every man you met.
Enjoying rejoicing in the whole of him:  “No buts about it.”
You taught us all that there really is a pony under every pile of shit,
And you showed us how to find it.
You patiently demonstrated it for us every live long day,
But your greatest lesson was the laughter you shared
As your life was ebbing away.

You showed us how to weep, and how to touch each other, tenderly, to care.
You taught us how to work, to shoulder the load, to bear.
You showed us how to laugh and love and share.
You taught us to accept the stones, chin high, back straight.
You taught us to exalt in the musty aroma of dirt,
The strength of tears, the sweet smell of sweat.
Those scarred and calloused hands are a gift that will be our guide
Hands so great and gentle that my pain got lost inside.
But the greatest gifts were those moments of joy
On those days before you died.

You blazed a trail for us to follow
We may get lost along the way,

But we’ll meet you once again, anyhow, some day.

Simple Answers

"A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country. Well, there's a very simple answer. Nobody bothered to check the oil. We just didn't know we were getting low. The reason for that is purely geographical. Our OIL is located in: Alaska, California, Coastal Florida, Coastal Louisiana, Coastal Alabama, Coastal Mississippi, Coastal Texas, North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas.  Our dipstick in Washington DC."

Who gives the left their power? We do!

Who Gives the Left Their Power.  We do!
Lloyd Marcus

Traveling down I-95, headed home to Florida from visiting Mary and my parents in Maryland and West Virginia, I found myself yelling in frustration at my radio.  Rush Limbaugh asked: Who gives the left power to silence opposition, control speech, and get people fired or ordered into sensitivity training?  Rush rattled off numerous examples to prove his point, including a mere 50 leftist student protesters at Rutgers successfully forcing Condoleezza Rice to back down from giving their commencement speech.
Who gives the left such power?  I yelled, “We do!”
By the way, while in West Virginia, I attended Mary’s dad’s 82nd birthday party.  Many family members were in attendance.  We had a wonderful time of laughter and love.  I was the only black person.  There was not the slightest vibe of racial tension in the air.  I believe that such is the state of race relations among a majority of Americans, except for those who despicably promote racial division for personal and political gain (that is, Democrats).
Back to Rush’s question.  Who gives the left so much power?  Much of the left’s power comes from the mainstream media, which is mostly liberal and totally in sync with the Democratic Party’s socialist/progressive agenda.  The MSM functions as the left’s hit men, ready to high-tech lynch any and all challengers.
We cannot do much about that.  But we can control our response.  While I have written about this on countless occasions, my points bear repeating.  Stop allowing the left to set the rules of engagement, and stop helping them beat up on our challengers.
When people on our side (conservatives) misspeak, misquote a stat, or make a clumsy innocent comment, I will not sing in harmony with the left’s choir, calling the conservative an idiot.  Nor will I submit to the left’s demands that the targeted conservative be denounced.  To do so is, in essence, providing aid and comfort to our enemies.
Frustratingly, both sides of the political street expect conservatives to be as perfect as Jesus Christ.  Meanwhile, Democrats are permitted to make any cruel, evil, outrageous, or unsubstantiated claim necessary to further their cause.  Heck, Obama repeatedly told the American people a bald-faced lie to pass ObamaCare, for the most part without consequence.
While we function in a state of constant fear that a conservative may utter a single word for the left to take out of context to use against us, Democrats’ rules of engagement allows them to boldly function from the position that no tactic is too low in their quest to defeat conservatives and implement the socialist/progressive agenda.  Therefore, Democrats consider lying to the American people, millions losing their health care, denying medical care to kids with cancer, and slandering millions of decent patriotic Americans in the Tea Party all fair game.
For example: remember when Congressional Black Caucus Rep. Andre Carson made the irresponsible, outrageous claim that the Tea Party would like to see blacks “hanging on a tree”?  Where was the pushback from the MSM?  Where were the calls for Democrats to denounce Rep. Carson?  Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson sent a fundraising email claiming that the T in “Tea Party” stands for the burning cross of the KKK.  Why did we not see the same pressure and 24/7 coverage the MSM applies to Republicans, demanding that Grayson apologize?  Where were the calls for Democrats to denounce him?
The MSM embraces the claims of Democrats, who have never attended a single Tea Party, that the rallies are the equivalent of KKK meetings.  As a black who has attended over 400 Tea Parties nationwide, the MSM rejects my on-the-scene eyewitness report to the contrary.
Remarkably, after five years without evidence proving their accusations, the Democrats and MSM have doubled down on their claim that the Tea Party, the Republican Party, and all opposition to Obama is motivated by racism.
Our side has been advised to surrender to the left’s branding of us and implement our own Democrat-lite versions of the left’s agenda to prove that we are not racist – usher in illegal immigration, denounce the repeal of ObamaCare, and exempt minorities from showing a photo ID to vote, to name a few.  So this is where we are – allowing Democrats and the MSM to dictate how we are allowed to fight, what we can and cannot say, and which battles we can take on.
And yet, we eagerly rush to blogs and media microphones to beat up on our courageous conservative freedom-fighters whenever they make a mistake.
Sarah Palin is a prime example.  Say what you will about Palin, but from day one, she has been an unwavering bold, strong, and committed voice, pushing back against the tyranny of the Obama regime.  Now, do you think I would ever help the left beat up on Sarah?  Borrowing a phase I heard my patriot brothers and sisters say while in New Jersey, “Forget about it!”
Then there is Cliven Bundy.  While Bundy may or may not have had all his legal ducks in a row, or known how to deal with a hostile media, I tip my hat to the man.  Bottom line: Bundy knew government was hijacking more and more of our freedoms, and he said, “No!”  That takes guts, folks, because history confirms that “freedom ain’t free.”  Bundy is paying a price that many are unwilling to pay.  Many sheepishly go along with the program (the government incrementally taking over every aspect of our lives) rather than risking an IRS audit or a bogus reason to be thrown in jail.
Who gives the left their power?  We do, every time we surrender.
While visiting in Maryland, I was blessed with another cherished chat with my dad, who just celebrated his 86th birthday.  His mind is as sharp as ever.  Praise God!  Dad is chaplain emeritus for the Baltimore City Fire Department.  He only speaks at special events.
Dad said he was called on the carpet by a department official after a recent event.  One highly offended individual at the event complained that dad ended his prayer with “in Jesus’s name.”
Dad told the official that he could no more deny Jesus than he could deny that he is black.  Note: Dad did not apologize, beg for forgiveness, or vow never to do it again.  The official let it go.
Who gives the left their power?  We do.
